The time change messed with my plans to sleep in the first night we were here. I’d had great intentions to sleep in till nine or later and catch up on lost hours of rest. It simply did not work out like that and I found myself up at six, wandering around grumpy as all hell. Then I walked out on the deck closest to our bedroom and the sun was coming up. All was forgiven and right with the world again. The deck was facing the right direction and the sunrise was amazing. I stood there and leaned on the edge for probably thirty minutes and watched it come up. It was awesome. I took some pictures, a few with my phone and some better ones with my camera, to remember the moment. I might have been a bit tired later, but a good nap on the lanai fixed that. I’m not saying to set an alarm for it, but if it happens, take advantage and enjoy the sunrise. You won’t regret it.
