The Villas Green Initiative
The goal of the Villas Green Initiative is to develop and maintain environmentally responsible practices in the Hospitality Industry. The focus is to promote a green experience for travelers and guests in Hawaii, while reducing our carbon footprint and enhancing environmental sustainability on the island of Kauai. With a strong collaboration of regional and statewide public and private partners, The Villas at Poipu Kai is committed to improving sustainable hospitality business practices that are globally aware and environmentally conscious.
Solar Pathway Lighting
Natural stone paths will help you explore all the unique facets of the property. While coming and going from the Villa we want to make sure your safety is not compromised, while continuing to maintain the peaceful secluded ambiance that reigns at the Villas. To strike this balance we have installed knee high solar powered lamps that enhance the feeling of paradise while minimizing electric output.
Bio-Degradable Laundry and Cleaning Products
Washing your beach towel, swim suits, and t-shirts is a must after an action packed day at the beach. That is why in each Villa we have included a full-sized washer and dryer. Tucked away in the closet just off of the kitchen you will have unlimited access to these facilities during your time at the Villas. Because cleanliness is so important, we wanted to make sure that we continued to reduce our footprint by providing bio-degradable laundry detergent and cleaning products. That way the palm trees will smile when they see you track back from your adventurous day at the beach.
